About the Coalition
We are working to promote greater transparency, accountability, and equity in Maryland's healthcare system as the state undergoes a transition in healthcare financing and delivery.

Health Means Everything is a 501c4 coalition of individuals, communities, businesses, and public health experts fighting for an affordable, accessible, and high-quality healthcare. We believe in a healthcare system focused on keeping us healthy, not on generating revenue.

Maryland's Health Services Cost Review Commission (HSCRC) plays a central role in setting hospital payment rates and overseeing policies that shape access to care, cost, and quality across the state. As Maryland moves into the new AHEAD (Achieving Healthcare Efficiency through Accountable Design) Model, it is more important than ever that the HSCRC's decisions reflect the needs of patients, communities, and advocates.
The coalition works to:
-
Promote transparency in decision-making processes, data and deliberations.
-
Advance access and affordability, ensuring policies improve care for all Maryland residents, particularly underserved and vulnerable populations.
-
Support a successful AHEAD model transition, advocating for equity, accountability, and community voice at every step.
-
Monitor HSCRC activity and make the Commission's work more accessible to the public.
